Rhamnose, also known as 6-deoxy-L-mannose, is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₆H₁₂O₅. With a sweetness of about 33% that of sucrose, rhamnose can be used to assess intestinal permeability, serve as a sweetener, and be utilized in the production of flavors and fragrances.
