Properties of Succinic Anhydride

Succinic Anhydride is white orthogonal conical and biconical crystals at room temperature. Stable in air, not easily deliquescent. Slightly irritating odor. Insoluble in water and ether, soluble in chloroform. Slowly hydrolyzed in cold water, rapidly hydrolyzed in hot water.
