Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (c3o3n3cl3) is a chloroisocyanuric acid series product, referred to as TCCA. It is a white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents, and has a strong chlorine odor. The effective chlorine content of TCCA Trichloroisocyanuric Acid is above 90%, and the active chlorine content is 2 to 3 times higher than that of bleaching powder. It is an updated product of bleaching powder and bleaching essence.
Disinfection principle
TCCA 90% will produce hypochlorous acid in aqueous solution. Hypochlorite ions react with bacterial cell walls and virus shells to cause bacteria to lyse, and then penetrate into the cells, oxidize the enzymes in the bacteria, and kill the bacteria.
The appropriate amount of TCCA 90 required for a swimming pool depends on several factors, including the pool's size, water volume, and water temperature. Generally, for a 38 cubic meters pool, 2 tablets of TCCA 90 are recommended per week.
