Trometamol / Tromethamine, also known as Trimethylaminomethane or Aminotriol, is a biologically inert amino alcohol with the Trometamol CAS 77-86-1. It appears as a white crystalline powder and is highly soluble in both water and ethanol. Thanks to its low toxicity and excellent solubility, Trometamol / Tromethamine is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations and chemical applications, often interchangeably referred to as Tris Base in laboratory settings.

Trometamol used for: This compound plays an important role as a buffering agent and stabilizer in various formulations. It is primarily used as a medical intermediate and biochemical reagent. Trometamol / Tromethamine also serves as an intermediate in the production of fosfomycin and is used as a vulcanization accelerator, an emulsifier for mineral oils and paraffin, and in cosmetics such as creams and lotions.
