Glacial Acetic Acid (GAA) is a colorless liquid with irritating sour taste. Glacial acetic acid is easily soluble in water and many organic solvents. GAA (CH3cooh) is strongly corrosive. Its aqueous solution is weakly acidic and can react with many active metals, alkaline oxides, alkalis, etc. to form acetate.
