Mixed aromatics are a colorless, transparent liquid composed of aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene, and xylene, with a distinctive odor. They are primarily produced through narrow-cut reforming aromatic extraction or naphtha aromatization. As a basic chemical raw material, 95% of its production is used in gasoline blending to increase octane rating, with the remainder used in petroleum resin production and solvents.

- Gasoline blending: As a high-octane component, it accounts for 20%-25% of the blending formula.
- Petroleum resin: Used directly as a raw material for C9 petroleum resin or, after separation, used in the synthesis of thermoplastic resins.
- Solvent raw material: Used in the production of solvents for coatings and inks.
