Properties:
Octadecyl dimethyl betaine molecular structure consists mainly of a long chain of octadecyl groups (C₁₈H₃₇ -), two methyl groups (-CH₃) attached to nitrogen atoms, and a glycine betaine group.

Uses of Octadecyl dimethyl betaine (BS-18):

• In cleansing products such as facial washes and hand soaps, Octadecyl dimethyl betaine gently cleanses the skin while maintaining the skin's moisture balance. Because it is less irritating to the skin, it prevents problems such as dry skin and allergies caused by over-cleansing.
• In hair care products such as conditioners, it adsorbs to the surface of the hair and reduces friction between the hair, making it soft and easy to comb, and also prevents static electricity in the hair.
• Octadecyl dimethyl betaine (BS-18) can also be used as fiber, fabric softener, antistatic agent, calcium soap dispersant, disinfection cleaning agent, etc.
