Purpose
Ethyl acetate is an analytical reagent. Determination of bismuth, boron, gold, iron, molybdenum, platinum, potassium, and thallium. Chromatographic standards, solvents, and detergents. Used to dry anhydrous sodium sulfate or anhydrous magnesium sulfate. Distilled in a high-efficiency fractionating column to give ethyl acetate.
