Diethanolamine, also known as dihydroxyethylamine, 2,2 '-iminodiethanol, white crystal or colorless liquid, strong hygroscopic. It is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone and benzene, with a solubility (g/100g) of 4.2 in benzene at 25ºC and 0.8 in ether.
