Butane (C4H10) Calibration Gas Properties
At room temperature and atmospheric pressure, butane is a colorless, flammable gas with a natural gas-like odor. The flammability limit in air ranges from 1.8% to 8.4% by volume, and its auto-ignition temperature is 430°C. At 21.1°C and its own vapor pressure of 110 kPa, butane is transported as liquefied petroleum gas.
