Polybutadiene Rubber is short for 1,4-Polybutadiene Rubber with the molecular formula (C4H6). Polybutadiene Rubber is a structurally regular synthetic rubber made from the polymerization of butadiene, with a cis-structure content of more than 95%. According to the different catalysts, it can be divided into nickel system, cobalt system, titanium system, and rare earth system (neodymium system) of cis-butadiene rubber.
Polybutadiene Rubber is the second largest synthetic rubber after SBR. Compared with natural rubber and styrene butadiene rubber, after vulcanization, its cold resistance, abrasion resistance, and elasticity are particularly excellent, less heat under dynamic load, aging resistance is still good, easy to use with natural rubber, chloroprene rubber, or nitrile rubber.

What are the uses of Polybutadiene Rubber?
The main uses of Polybutadiene Rubber include the manufacture of abrasion-resistant products such as tires, rubber shoes, adhesive tapes, and rubber rollers. In addition, Polybutadiene Rubber is used for toughening modification of ABS resin, PS resin, and AS resin, as well as modification of high-impact polystyrene (HIPS).

- Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR) is prepared primarily by emulsion polymerization, by copolymerizing high levels of styrene and butadiene monomers. This method of preparation results in polybutadiene rubber with good mechanical properties, elasticity and compatibility, which is widely used in various fields.
