Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole drug that is considered the current drug of choice for the treatment of certain parasitic infections. It is administered orally in a single dose or two doses 12 hours apart, with increased bioavailability when taken with food.
Triclabendazole is used to treat fascioliasis (an infection, usually in the liver and bile ducts, caused by flat worms [liver flukes]) in adults and children 6 years of age and older. Triclabendazole is in a class of medications called anthelmintics.

To prevent getting infected with this parasite, cook your food properly before eating.
