Pyrazinamide Powder works by killing Mycobacterium tuberculosis by inhibiting the metabolism of the bacteria. It is particularly suitable for chronic infections of TB. Pyrazinamide is often used in combination with other anti-TB products to improve effectiveness and reduce the risk of resistance.
Mechanism
Pyrazinamide or Pyrazinecarboxamide kills or stops the growth of the bacteria that may cause tuberculosis. It is used with other drugs to treat tuberculosis.

Usage of Pyrazinamide API Raw Material

• Pyrazinamide, also known as pyrazinecarboxamide, is used in combination with other active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to treat tuberculosis. It is primarily used to manufacture tablets. As an antibiotic, it works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria.
• For the treatment of active tuberculosis, Pyrazinamide API (BP/USP/EP grade) is commonly used together with rifampin, isoniazid, and either streptomycin or ethambutol. Oral administration is the most common route.
• Important Note: Pyrazinamide is never used alone. It must be combined with other drugs, such as isoniazid and rifampin, in the treatment of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to be effective and to prevent drug resistance.
