N-propanol (Npa), also known as 1-propanol, is an organic compound with the structural formula CH₃CH₂CH₂OH, molecular formula C₃H₈O, and molecular weight 60.10. n-Propanol has a melting point of -126.5 °C, a boiling point of 97.4 °C, a flash point of 15 °C, and a density of 0.804 g/cm³. It is a transparent, colorless liquid with a strong, musty odor similar to rubbing alcohol. It is soluble in water, ethanol, and diethyl ether.
