Production of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA)
The primary use of Paraxylene (PX) is as a raw material for the production of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA). PTA is a key intermediate in the manufacture of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), which is widely used in products such as fibers, films, and plastic bottles.

Intermediate for Chemical Products
Paraxylene is also used to produce other chemical intermediates, including benzoic acid and p-tolualdehyde, which have important applications in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and coatings industries.
