Oleamidopropyl Betaine (OAB) is an amphoteric surfactant with high surface and interface activity. When combined with anionic surfactants, its thickening effect is more pronounced than that of alkylbetaines such as CAB. Under acidic conditions, the viscosity of the solution can increase significantly. It also exhibits strong temperature resistance, hard water resistance, and salt resistance.
Applications:
OAB can be used as a thickening agent, conditioner, wetting agent, antibacterial agent, and and antistatic agent. It is also utilized in oil and gas field applications, such as in cleaning fracturing fluids, self-turning acid main agents, thickeners, viscoelastic surfactant adhesives (VES), and displacement agents.
