HEPES sodium is a non-volatile zwitterionic chemical buffer, commonly known as N - (2-hydroxyethyl) piperazine-N '- (2-ethanesulfonic acid) sodium salt with CAS number 75277-39-3, used to regulate and stabilize the pH value of laboratory liquids. The appearance is white powder, and it usually needs to be prepared as a solvent when used, so it has good water solubility and relatively stable chemical properties.

Application

• HEPES sodium salt has a low toxic effect on cultured cells, so it is commonly used as a buffer for cell culture research;
• It can be used as a buffer in the phosphorylation detection process of permeable fibroblasts;
• It can be used in combination with HEPES buffer and is a commonly used bio buffer formula;
• HEPES sodium salt is also an effective inducer of lysosomal biogenesis;
• It can also be used to form complex dialysis buffers for the determination of free thyroxine in serum through radioimmunoassay.
