Sodium Perborate Tetrahydrate, 4H2O (PBS) is mainly utilized in textile mills as a bleaching agent for a variety of fabrics, namely, wool, cotton, linen, rayon, etc, and as oxidizing and fixing agent for dyes. It is also widely applied in dentifrices, denture cleaners and pharmaceuticals due to its cleansing, deodorizing and antiseptic properties and is incorporated in soaps and detergent powders.
